Once again we brought together Oslo’s product development community for meaningful discussions and new connections.
This edition of Build to Last explored one of the most pivotal topics in innovation: AI in product development – Enabler or ethical challenge?
What happened:
A dual perspective: Participants gained insights into how AI is reshaping product development — both as a powerful enabler of innovation and as a driver of ethical considerations.
Engaging conversations: Dr. Mozhgan Tavakolifard and Mark Szoke shared reflections, real-world examples, and sparked valuable dialogue.
Interactive discussions: Attendees joined an open forum designed to foster idea exchange, debate, and new perspectives.
Coffee and breakfast: Conversations flowed over quality coffee and a shared breakfast.
Key takeaways:
Understanding AI models and their limitations allows for smarter use — you don’t need to be an expert, but you do need to know enough to use them wisely.
Right problem + right team + right tool: AI success is as much about people and purpose as technology.
Products often fail when user context is missing — habits, environments, and goals shape adoption and use.
AI is only as powerful as the problem and context you frame it with.
The AI landscape is constantly shifting — experiment, fail fast, and learn.
Effective prompting depends on both the tool and the user — every model has its own “language.”
Why it mattered:
Whether a seasoned product developer, an innovative technologist, or simply curious about the future, attendees found a unique platform to learn, share, and contribute to the evolving conversation on AI in product development.
Together, we discussed, debated, and explored how AI is shaping the future of product development.
