The world is shifting. New technologies, changing user expectations, and rapidly evolving markets are reshaping how we design and build products. At the heart of it all is one constant: understanding the people we create for.

In this edition of Built to Last, we dive into user research in a changing world. How do we capture real insights when behavior, needs, and contexts are in constant flux? What new methods, tools, and mindsets are needed to truly understand and anticipate the needs of tomorrow?

Great research is never done alone, you are only as strong as your team. From cross-disciplinary collaboration to shared ownership of insights, working together is key to turning data into direction and uncertainty into clarity.

Through talks and discussions with experienced practitioners, we’ll explore how to adapt research practices to an uncertain future, and how strong user insights, built and shared in teams, can continue to be the foundation for products that endure.

Join us for a Tuesday morning of inspiration, reflection, and connection with the product development community.

Meet the speakers

Klara Vatn

Autodesk Forma

Klara is a user experience designer with over 20 years of experience designing great products. She has worked on the digitalization of government processes and tools, as well as in the media industry.

For her, the more complex the task is, the bigger the reward. A problem solver with a specialization in combining design processes with an agile mindset, she thrives in cross-functional, autonomous teams.

Currently, Klara is leveraging all her experience to build the next generation of digital tools for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), designing Autodesk Forma.

Katja Anokhina

Utdanningsdirektoratet

Katja Anokhina is a Product Manager at the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training (Utdanningsdirektoratet).

She previously worked at DigitalService, Germany’s federal digitalization agency, where she developed user-centered digital solutions for tax services.

Passionate about the intersection of technology and public administration, Katja brings together structured problem-solving and empathy for users.

Outside of work, she enjoys sailing, canoeing, hiking, and photography.

Linn-Tove Vindsnes

Luminari

Linn-Tove Vindsnes has worked with data and digital products for over 10 years, from hands-on to strategic, as a web/product analyst, manager and insight director.

She has learned that it is not about how much data we have, but about what questions we ask - and what we do with the answers.

Creating learning that actually makes a difference requires more than analysis. It requires that we dare to work differently tomorrow than we do today, to create the change we want.

With experience from DNB, Finn, Statens Vegvesen and now founding her own advisory company within data and insights, she has a lot to share about how we should approach research and data when working with digital product development.
